We Design It, You Live it.

Founded by John Willmott and Alison Strickland, Willmott & Strickland is a multidisciplinary team of architects and designers based in Oakville, guided by the principle that wonderful spaces are the result of a creative process where architecture and interiors are seamlessly designed in unison. Drawing upon over three decades of experience within residential and commercial design, we take pride as stewards of our client’s projects and we believe success is achieved through creative energy, technical rigour, and disciplined support through to completion.

At Willmott & Strickland, creativity comes standard. We’re wired to explore what’s possible, sketching ideas for the fun of it, chasing the clever, the unexpected, the just-right solution irrespective of the scope, scale or style.

But we’re not designing for us. We design for you, and our diverse portfolio reflects our ability to listen and respond to each client’s inspirations, priorities, and way of living. Every space is shaped around the life you want to live or how you work within, from the first sketch to the smallest detail. Architecture, interiors and décor - all integrated from the start.

One cohesive design experience.

What People Are Saying

  • Even up to this year, random people would stop their cars and get out to take pictures of the house.

    — Former Client

  • They didn’t just give us options. They guided us, challenged us gently, and helped us land in a better place than we could’ve imagined.

    — Former Client

  • She got to know us. She got to know how we live our lives… And in the end, we have a great house that we absolutely love.
