Primary Retreat


This project involved a complete overhaul of the Primary Bedroom Suite, with every element of the outdated space being stripped down to the studs. We swapped the locations of the walk-in closet and master ensuite, allowing for a window to be added above the tub in the bathroom, while the rest of the floorplan remained functional. Texture plays a key role throughout, from the intricate wall paneling and rich wallpaper in the bedroom to additional wall paneling and gleaming mother-of-pearl tile in the bathroom. Hidden details are woven throughout the design, such as a laundry chute integrated into the bathroom paneling, concealed lighting within the makeup vanity in the master bedroom, and a secret door within the sitting room bookcase that leads to an attic nook for the children to play in.
